Perfetti Van Melle- one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sr. Customer Planning Manager to join our Sales Team.
What you will do:
Lead Category Sales Planning for given brand(s) across channels to translate Perfetti Van Melle objectives and strategies into sales and channel specific strategies and objectives that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Develop and deploy volume and trade budget by channel ensuring that trade spend meets objectives within brands to deliver short-term and long-term financial commitments.
Facilitate the communication between sales and brand marketing.
Provide the business intelligence for given products to the sales team to create and develop customer plans.
Steward across go-to-market processes ensuring that sales/customer voice is considered (customer business planning, new product launches, supply chain allocations, hold-back estimates for trade spend allocation, etc.).
Maintain cross-channel view for new product launches and brand launches and support leadership in making go/no-go launch decisions.
What we need from you:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
10+ years CPG experience
10+ years in sales or related role
Strong understanding of channel and key retailer practices
Strong understanding of trade spending principles
Experience with customer annual planning process
Experience managing strategic and tactical trade plans
Ability to work effectively across departments — Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance.
Demonstrated ability to influence across the organization and effectively navigate a matrixed environment
Prior project management experience
Financial acumen - P&L management exposure
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment while being highly organized and structured
Excellent communication skills, both verbal / written with internal / external contacts
