Perfetti Van Melle - one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide - is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Employee Relations Partner. As a member of the Human Resources Team, the Employee Relations Partner will plan, develop, and implement initiatives to drive positive workforce engagement across Operations, in our Manufacturing and Distribution Center locations. This position will advise, partner and guide people leaders to lead effectively and foster an engaging work environment. This position will also design and lead initiatives to enhance the capability of our front-line teams at the Plant and the Distribution Center. WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be responsible for:
Providing Employee Relations leadership, partnership, and coaching for all employees and managers. Providing world-class service by guiding employees to the right resources and timely solutions.
Serving as a Human Resource liaison to the Operations team.
Developing, recommending and leading employee relations initiatives based on themes and metrics. Responsible for employee relations leadership with regards to issues involving development, engagement, and application of company policies and procedures. Providing guidance and coaching to Supervisors/Management on all areas of HR and decisions that affect employees.
Assisting with talent processes: recruitment, internal job transfer, new employee orientation, evaluations and development planning. Along with the Supervisor, drives employee development through the new employee evaluation process and feedback sessions.
Providing data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to drive proactive solutions. Participating in local committees and round-table discussions for best practice sharing and learning.
Leading investigations and resolution of employee complaints, ensuring investigations are conducted effectively and written recommendations/findings are developed in an objective, timely and thorough manner. Assisting with employee disciplinary actions and terminations; working closely with the HR Business Partner, Supervisors and Management throughout the process.
Providing timely communication to the Operations team regarding new initiatives and policies, including relevant regulatory updates. Working closely with Supervisors to monitor and communicate employment related issues, employee relations issues and past practices.
We need you to have:
3 or more years of relevant Human Resources experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish.
Experience delivering HR solutions to the workforce, effective employee relations and working collaboratively with all stakeholders.
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes that govern employment policies and practices.
Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.
Proven track record developing teams and front line leaders. Experience developing autonomous front line teams a plus.
Experience applying effective change management .
Experience and understanding of TPM/Lean or similar Continuous Improvement efforts.
