Your tasks and responsibilities Bayer U.S. LLC's Whippany, NJ, office seeks a Deputy Director of Public Affairs/Stakeholder Advocacy for the Americas region to work in Whippany, New Jersey The primary responsibilities of this role, Deputy Director of Public Affairs/Stakeholder Advocacy- Americas, are to: provide expertise concerning the implementation of public policy, public affairs, and industry trade associations' initiatives to enable the commercial success of our Consumer Health portfolio throughout North and Latin America. The function will also serve as back-up to the Head of Global Policy and Public Affairs as well as public policy advisor to the Global President of Bayer Consumer Health. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Public Affairs, Government Affairs, or a related field; six (6) years of experience in a related position; defining and leading the implementation of public affairs strategies, and industry trade association initiatives; analyzing and assessing public policy challenges, market trends, proposed legislation and political issues which impact company commercial objectives; developing public policy strategy and implementation tactics in response to policy issues impacting corporate interests; and providing support to upper level management in policy activities and trade association boards. Experience can be concurrent. Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
